Batter Fried Shrimp Recipe

  1. Preheat oil to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine 1/2 c. oil and egg; beat well.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients except oil for frying and stir till well blended.
  4. Dip shrimp into batter to coat.
  5. Drop shrimp into warm oil and fry for 30 to 60 seconds or possibly till golden.
  6. Remove with slotted spoon; drain on paper towel.
  7. This recipe yields 6 servings.
  8. Suggested Wine: Beverage suggestions: Light lager, dark or possibly amber beer
  9. NOTES : Chef's Tip - Add in a 1/2 tsp.
  10. of baking pwdr to batter to make a much lighter crust, or possibly use beer instead of lowfat milk for a barley flavor.
