Blue raspberry Chipotle bbq sauce
- 1 box raspberry
- 1 box blueberry
- 14 oz can Chipotle peppers
- 15 oz can stewed tomatoes
- 1 small can of tomatoe paste
- 1 yellow onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp cumin
- rough dice onion and saute in olive oil over medium heat in 6-8 quart pot.
- combine all other ingredients except cumin and oregano into a mixing bowl.
- once onion has caramelized add cumin and oregano allowing it to toast for about 30 seconds
- add all ingrients into pot and bring to a boil.
- reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- let cool for 20 minutes and carefully blend well in blender with a towel over over the top instead of the lid.
- make sure to not fill blender more yhan a third of the way.
- can be used on anything you want.
- my favorite is using it on pulled pork,chicken.
