Nutty Raisin Stuffing

  1. Place raisins and 3/4 cup water in a small ovenware bowl. Cover with wax paper.
  2. Cook for 2 minutes; set aside.
  3. Place butter, celery and onion in an ovenware dish.
  4. Cover with wax paper.
  5. Continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring 3 times.
  6. Stir in chicken broth, salt, sage and pepper.
  7. Add bread crumbs, walnuts and raisin-water mixture.
  8. Toss lightly until evenly moist.
  9. Cover with wax paper.
  10. Continue cooking stuffing 7 minutes. Total cooking time: 19 minutes.
  11. Recipe yields 5 cups or enough to stuff a 6 pound turkey.
