Mitzi's Brunswick Stew (Beef Or Venison) Recipe
- 2 lbs. beef or possibly venison cubes
- 2 tbsp. salad oil
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 lg. can tomatoes and 1 can water
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 3 med. potatoes, diced
- 3 tbsp. relish
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 4 celery stalks, sliced
- 1/4 c. red wine (optional)
- Brown beef cubes in oil.
- Add in Worcestershire sauce and simmer 15 min.
- Add in tomatoes (minced) plus one can full of water.
- Add in onion, celery and carrots and cook for 45minutes on medium-low heat.
- Add in potatoes and cook 5-6 min till slightly tender.
- Add in vinegar, red wine, relish and brown sugar.
- Stir.
- Keep hot on low heat till serving time; stirring occasionally.
