Pickled Green Tomato Recipe
- 2 quart. water
- 1 1/3 c. vinegar (distilled)
- 1/3 c. salt
- 1 lg. head garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon alum
- Tomatoes, green
- 2 c. fresh dill weed
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- In gallon jar fill 3/4 way with small to medium tomatoes.
- Add in salt, garlic, alum and dill weed.
- In medium pot boil 2 qts water with vinegar for approximately 5 min.
- Let cold.
- Pour water and vinegar into jar.
- Cover and let set for 1 week.
