Baked Apple Crunch Recipe
- 6 c. sliced peeled tart apples (abt 4 apples) Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 c. brown sugar - (packed) plus
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar - (packed)
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 c. butter cut up, plus more for greasing pan
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. oatmeal
- Toss together apples and lemon juice to coat slices.
- Stir in 2 Tbsp.
- brown sugar and 1 tsp.
- cinnamon.
- Spoon apples into lightly buttered 8-inch-square baking dish.
- Combine flour, oatmeal, remaining brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Using your fingers, work butter into oat mix till proportionately blended.
- Spoon crunch topping proportionately over apples.
- Bake at 375 degrees till apples are tender and topping is lightly browned, about 30 min.
- Cold slightly, then serve.
- This recipe yields 8 servings.
