Beef Stew

  1. Brown meat in cooking oil in a Dutch oven.
  2. Add water, onion, seasonings and tomato paste.
  3. Cover and simmer for 1/2 to 2 hours. Stir in potatoes, carrots and green pepper.
  4. Simmer 30 minutes. Add more water, if necessary.
  5. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 20 minutes more.
  6. Will serve 10 people.
