Chocolate-Almond Truffle Bites
- 30 vanilla wafers, crushed
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 25 KRAFT Caramels
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Almonds, toasted
- 2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- Line 8-inch square pan with foil, with foil extending over side of pan.
- Combine wafer crumbs and butter; press onto bottom of prepared pan.
- Place caramels and water in medium microwaveable bowl; microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 min.
- or until caramels are melted, stirring after each minute.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spoon over crust.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Microwave chocolate in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 1-1/2 min.
- or until almost melted, stirring every 30 sec.
- Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
- Stir in COOL WHIP.
- Spread over caramel mixture in pan.
- Refrigerate 1 hour.
