Brotchen

  1. Put all ingredients into breadmaker, set on dough cycle.
  2. Take out of breadmaker.
  3. Punch down dough and divide into 12 parts.
  4. Shape into oval rolls and place 3 apart on a greased and floured cookie sheet.
  5. Cover and let rise until double in size.
  6. Beat egg white and 1 tsp water with a fork until frothy and brush on the rolls.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 450 for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
