Beef In Whisky Sauce Recipe
- 25 gm butter
- 750 gm sirloin steak cut into thin strips
- 1 lrg onion skinned and minced
- 3 Tbsp. drambuie or possibly whisky
- 75 ml double cream salt and pepper
- Heat the butter in the frying pan and cook the onion and beef for 5 - 10 min till the meat is brown and cooked to taste.
- Stir in the whisky and cream heat through and bubble gently till a sauce is formed.
- Season to taste.
- Serve immediately with brown rice and green vegetables.

- In this recipe they combine well to make a wonderful specialoccasion main course.
- Because the meat is cooked quickly use a good sirloin steak for flavour and tenderness.
- Have the largest frying pan possible available.
- Batches of meat can be kept hot in the simmering oven after cooking, then returned to the pan when the liqueur and cream are added.
- Serves 4 but can easily be multiplied to serve 12 or possibly 16.
