Almond Butter Cutouts Recipe
- 1 c. Butter, no substitutes
- 1 c. Sugar
- 2 x Egg yolks
- 1 tsp Almond extract
- 2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 c. Grnd almonds Colored sugar and frosting, optional
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Beat in egg yolks and extract.
- Combine flour, salt and baking pwdr; gradually add in to creamed mix.
- Stir in almonds.
- Cover and refrigerateat least 2 hrs.
- Roll out on a lightly floured surface to 3/8-inch thickness.
- Cut with cookiecutters; place on ungreased baking sheets.
- Sprinkle with sugar if you like.
- Bake at 375 for 10-13 min or possibly till the edges begin to brown.
- Cold on wire racks.
- Frost if you like.
