Mexican Chili Con Carne Recipe
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. grnd beef
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced onions
- 1 (14 ounce.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (16 ounce.) can kidney beans
- Salt and pepper
- 1 or possibly 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
- Place fat, Crisco or possibly whatever, in skillet; brown beef.
- Add in onions and cook till tender.
- Drain off most of the fat.
- Add in tomatoes, beans and seasonings.
- Mix well.
- Simmer slowly 45 min.
