Doggy Treats
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 14 cup water
- 2 pints beef broth or 2 pints chicken broth, warmed
- 3 12 cups unbleached flour
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 cups rye flour
- 12 cup powdered milk
- 2 cups bulgur wheat
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon fresh milk
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- When yeast bubbles, add all ingredients except egg and milk.
- Mix well, making a stiff dough.
- Roll dough 1/4-inch thick.
- Cut with bone cookie cutter.
- Combine milk and egg to make a glaze; brush cookies with this glaze.
- Bake at 300 for 45 minutes.
- Leave out overnight to dry.
- Store in airtight container.
