Pink Frosted Cookies
- 2 14 cups flour, sifted
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained, chopped reserve juice
- 12 cup walnuts
- 12 cup flaked coconut
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cherry juice
- mix flour sugar and butter until crumbly.
- press into 13x9 inch pan
- bake 20 minutes in 350 degree oven.
- blend eggs, brown sugar, salt ,baking powder ,vanilla.
- add cherries wanuts and coconut.
- place on top of baked crust and bake 20 minutes
- for frosting.
- combine butter and powdered sugar.
- , add enough cherry juice to make a spreading consistancy.
- spread on top of baked layers
- sprinkle with coconut
- when cool cut into bars.
