Ian's Take on Meatloaf
- 24 ounces ground beef (93/7 preferred )
- 8 ounces Stove Top stuffing mix
- 3 large shallots, diced
- 3 large garlic cloves, diced
- 2 eggs
- 23 cup milk
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (vary spiciness depending on preference)
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Add all meatloaf ingredients to a large bowl and mix fully.
- In a separate bowl mix the sauce ingredients until fully mixed.
- Place the meatloaf mixture into a meatloaf pan and pack inches.
- Place meatloaf dish upside down on a lightly oiled cookie sheet and gently tap until the "loaf" falls onto the sheet.
- Place the loaf into the oven and set a timer for 45-55 minutes depending on oven.
- At the 35-45 minute mark pull the meatloaf out and lightly glaze the exterior with topping sauce.
- Place the meatloaf back in the oven and let it bake 10 minutes longer.
- After removing meatloaf allow to cool 5 minutes and serve in large slices.
- Feel free to garnish with cheese.
