Southern Berry Cobbler

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine all filling ingredients in 3-quart saucepan.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 7-10 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil.
  4. Continue boiling 1 minute.
  5. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
  6. Set aside; keep hot.
  7. Combine baking mix, milk, butter and 1 tablespoon sugar in bowl.
  8. Drop 8 equal portions of biscuit dough onto hot filling.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  10. Bake 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and filling is bubbly around edges.
  11. Cool 30 minutes.
  12. Serve warm with sweetened whipped cream, if desired.
  13. *Substitute 1 (14-ounce) package frozen blackberries, thawed.
