Easy Apple Compote in the Microwave

  1. Peel the apples, remove their cores, and cut into 8 wedges.
  2. Place the apples in a heatproof dish, and sprinkle with the lemon juice.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the granulated sugar over the apples.
  4. Sprinkle with the rum.
  5. Place the cinnamon stick on top at the end.
  6. Cover with a lid (or plastic wrap), and microwave for 8 minutes at 600 W.
  7. Remove from the microwave, and flip them around.
  8. Microwave again for another 5 minutes at 600 W.
  9. Arrange the apples in the syrup to cover them evenly.
  10. Cover with the lid, and chill.
  11. You can keep them in the fridge for a while if you prefer them chilled.
  12. Please use them in making wonderful desserts.
