Blond Black Walnut Fudge Supreme

  1. Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup and salt in a heavy 3 quart saucepan, cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Cook at a fairly low boil to the soft ball stage.
  3. (236*) add butter without stirring.
  4. Cool to lukewarm.
  5. (110*).
  6. Add vanilla and beat until candy looses it's gloss and starts to thicken.
  7. Stir in black walnuts.
  8. Pour at once into a lightly buttered 8" square pan, cool until firm.
  9. then cut into pieces.
