Spiced Mixed Fruit

  1. Drain fruit juices into saucepan.
  2. Add sugar, vinegar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Tie allspice and cloves in small cheesecloth bag and add to juices.
  4. Heat to boiling point and boil 5 minutes.
  5. Add all fruits and simmer 10 minutes.
  6. Do not boil.
  7. Cool.
  8. Remove bag of spices.
  9. Cover and chill at least 24 hours before serving.
  10. Good with meat or poultry as a relish, or with whipped cream for an unusual dessert.
  11. Fruit will keep several weeks in refrigerator without canning.
  12. The recipe did not say how many servings.
  13. I guess about 16.
  14. Prep time does not include 24 hour chilling.
