Sesame Beef Salad Rolls
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 cup onions, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup carrots, shredded Target 2 lb For $3.00 thru 02/06
- 1 Tbsp. fresh garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, minced
- 1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
- 1-1/2 qt. extra lean ground beef Safeway 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 3/4 cup Kraft Oriental Sesame Dressing
- 1-1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 48 each large leaf, romaine OR iceberg lettuce leaves
- 1/4 cup sesame seed, toasted
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add onions, carrots, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes; saute 3 min.
- or until crisp-tender.
- Add meat; cook until done, stirring occasionally.
- Drain meat mixture; return to skillet.
- Stir in dressing, hot sauce and salt; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.
- For each serving: Spoon 2 Tbsp.
- (30 mL) of the meat mixture onto base of each of 2 lettuce leaves.
- Roll up tightly, turning in sides as you roll each to completely enclose filling; place on serving plate.
- Sprinkle each roll-up with 1/4 tsp.
- (1 mL) sesame seed.
