Tossed Salad For A Crowd Recipe
- 3 lg. heads iceberg lettuce (8 quarts.)
- 1 med. head romaine
- 1/2 sm. head chicory
- 4 med. tomatoes, cut up
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. favorite pourable salad dressing
- 1 med. onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
- In chilled, large salad bowl or possibly 10 qt saucepot, tear iceberg lettuce, romaine and chicory into bite size pcs.
- Add in tomatoes and dressing.
- To serve, spoon into individual salad bowls.
- Top servings with onion rings.
- Makes about 8 qts or possibly twenty-four 1 1/3 c. servings.
