Patates dolmasi (potato stuffed with meat n veggies)
- 7 large potatoes
- 1 tomato
- 750 grams minced meat
- 1 red pepper
- 1/3 can green peas
- 1 green pepper
- 1 tomato paste
- 1 red hot pepper n black pepper to spice up ur meat
- 1 chopped onion
- Get rid of skin of big potatoes n put then into a cooker.
- Add water to cover up ur potatoes n then add some more to add a few cm.s height.
- Pour some salt to water so potatoes will be tasty
- Important point: dont cook potatoes much.
- We will put them into owen with filling.
- This s just a step to avoid potatoes being uncooked after we take our meal outta owen.
- After u take off ur potatoessss leave them to rest n get cold.
- When u will b able to hold them cut them into two parts n carefully make holes inside the potatoes.
- U can use special tool or if can not find it maybe u can use ice cream spoon or just a spoon.
- Now we can start chopping our onions n peppers n put then aside.
- Pls be sure that you have ur spices with u cause we will start mixing meat with other ingredients n dont wanna search them with meaty hands :)
- Now we can prepare our meatballs.
- Please take your minced meat n mix them with chopped onions n salt n black n red pepper or with other spices u like :)
- After mixing chopped meat with chopped onions, red n green pepper now its time to add peas.
- At this step u can improvise n add ur fav veggies like corn..
- Now we can make meatballs n put them into potatoes.
- Then slice tomatoes and put them as hat on meatballs or u can use sliced peppers as well.
- Final step, take some tomato paste n put it into a small cup n pour some water sdd spices n mix them.
- Then pour this sause over ur potatoes
- U can put in 150degrees pre heated owen.
- Cook about 40 45mins.
- Please use degree n time according to ur owen.
- Some cud cook faster..
- Degree n time is a step i dont hold on much cause there wete times i took off without cooked or overly cooked :s :)
- I had meatballs left so filled up a green pepper
