Plum Jelly Recipe

  1. Heat plums and water to boiling point in Dutch oven; reduce heat.
  2. Cover and simmer 10 min.
  3. Strain warm; don't press pulp through strainer.
  4. Strain juice through 2 thicknesses of cheesecloth.
  5. Mix 3 c. plum juice and sugar.
  6. Heat; stir constantly.
  7. Bring to a full rolling boil.
  8. Add in pectin; heat to full rolling boil.
  9. Boil 1 minute.
  10. Skim off foam; pour into warm sterilized jars.
  11. Leave 1/2 inch from top and seal.
