Big Batch BBQ Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
- 2 Tablespoons Dry Mustard
- 3/4 cups White Sugar
- 1- 3/4 quart Ketchup
- 2 cans (14 Oz. Size) Crushed Tomatoes
- 2 cans (14 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
- 2- 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 23 cups Vinegar
- 13 cups Molasses
- 1/4 cups Chili Powder
- 1/4 cups Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Pickling Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 dash Ground Cloves
- In a large Dutch oven on the stove top, stir the olive oil and minced garlic together over low heat for 5 minutes.
- Stir together the dry mustard and white sugar so the dry mustard will dissolve when added.
- Add that and all the remaining ingredients into the pot and heat to a simmer over low heat, stirring often until all the sugars are dissolved.
- Ladle into clean jars and store up to 1 month in the refrigerator.
- This makes 9 pints of BBQ sauce.
