Easter Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast in water.
  2. Stir in the milk and flour.
  3. Cover.
  4. Let stand 1 hour.
  5. Beat together the eggs and sugar until smooth.
  6. Add to mix.
  7. Stir in the salt, cardamom, rinds, raisins, almonds, milk and butter.
  8. Stir in flour.
  9. Knead until smooth.
  10. Place in a sprayed bowl.
  11. Cover.
  12. Let rise 1 hour.
  13. Punch down.
  14. Shape into desired shape.
  15. Dust with sugar.
  16. Cover.
  17. Let rise 30 minutes.
  18. Heat oven 350.
  19. Bake 1 hour.
