Steamed vegetables with crispy Iberian ham

  1. Fill half of the bottom pan with water and put the washed and sliced onions and garlics in.
  2. Add a pinch of salt, cover and bring to the boil for 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile wash and cut the other veg and put in the top steamer.
  4. Take the lid of the pan with the onions, cover with the steamer, put the lid on amd continue over a high heat for another ten minutes.
  5. By which time contents of both pans will look like this.
  6. Strain the water into a container
  7. You can use it as a delicious oniony stock for a future soup, stew or gravy
  8. Heat a grill or non-stick pan and place the ham slices inside.
  9. After 2 minutes over a high heat turn them over to crisp them up
  10. Arrange the vegetables on a large serving plate.
  11. Cut the ham into crispy bits
  12. Drizzle with olive oil and soy sauce.
  13. Enjoy!
