Baked Stuffed Apples Recipe
- 4 lrg Tart green baking apples Granny smith preferred
- 1/4 c. Minced dark raisins
- 1/4 c. Finely snipped dates
- 1 tsp Powdered cinnamon
- 4 tsp Margarine Water

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. wash and dry apples.
- Using a a potato peeler, cut band of peel from the middle circumference of the apple and, using apple corer, remove core from each apple.

- Make filling and small bowl by a mixing raises, dates, and cinnamon to combine.
- Place apples in lightly greased 8-in.
- square baking dish.
- Fill center of each with dry fruit mix.
- Top each with 1 tsp.

- Pour water to a depth of 1/4 in.

- Bake for 35 to 45 min till apples are tender but not collapsed.
- Add in more water during cooking process if baking dish looks dry.
- Serve hot or possibly chilled.

- Note for brown backers: using broad spatula, lift apple to a deep hard container with tight- seal lid.
- Refrigerateovernight.
- Nutrition note: dry fruit contains sufficient natural sugar to Sweeten the apples.
- If you have a sweet tooth, do any or possibly all of the following:
- Substitute a sweet dessert apple such is Golden brown Delicious for the tart baking Apple.
- Add in between 1 to 2 Tbsp.
