Tomato Onion Chutney

  1. Chop tomatoes and onions.
  2. Combine with other ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
  3. Cook, partially covered, over low heat for 20 minutes.
  4. Mash.
  5. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Serve with any Indian dish except one which features tomatoes.
