Spicy Turkey Slow Cooker Soup (Ww - Only 3 Pts/Serving)
- 14 teaspoon ground allspice
- 14 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 12 teaspoon ground ginger
- 12 teaspoon garlic salt
- 12 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lb skinless boneless turkey breast, cut into 1-inch chunks (I used a package of turkey tenderloins)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes
- 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies (I used mild, but think medium or hot may be a better choice)
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can chicken broth
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, minced
- In a bowl combine spices (allspice - garlic salt plus 1/4 teaspoon pepper).
- Add turkey and toss.
- Let sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Place turkey in crockpot (plus any spices left in the bowl) and next 7 ingredients (garlic - salt plus the remaining 1/4 tsp pepper).
- Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours.
- Stir in lime juice and cilantro and let sit another 5 minutes or so.
