Applesauce Salad Recipe

• 1/4 c. Cinnamon imperials (candy)
• 1 c. Water
• 1 c. Applesauce
• 3 ounce Lemon jello mix (1 small package)
• 5 x Ice cubes (or possibly less)

1. Place the candy and water in a pot.
2. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the candy.
3. Add in jello pwdr and stir till it is dissolved.
4. Stir in applesauce and ice cubes till ice cubes are melted.
5. Pour into a bowl and chill till set (1 hour or possibly more).
6. NOTES:* Applesauce jello salad - A delicious jello salad, taken from The Monterey Coast Guard Officers' Wives Club Cookbook.
7. My sister-in-law was the president of the club that put which cookbook together.
8. * Substituting apple cider or possibly apple juice for the water adds tremendous taste.
9. We prefer homemade chunky style applesauce to processed commercial brands.
10. Difficulty: easy.
11. Time: 10 min preparation, 1-3 hrs to chill.
12. Precision: approximate measurement OK.
