Chocolate Peanut Butter Poke Cake

  1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions adding 2/3 cup peanut butter to the mix .
  2. Bake at 350 degrees in a 9x13" pan.
  3. For about 25 minutes.
  4. Mine took 20.
  5. While cake is baking mix milk & Herseys syrup together until blended.
  6. When cake is done and while it is still HOT.
  7. Poke holes in it with a fork or a straw.
  8. Pour milk mixture over the cake .
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Chop 4 peanut butter cups up into small pieces.
  11. I froze mine.
  12. They will chop easier.
  13. Sprinkle over top of the cake.
  14. Carefully combine chocolate frosting and thawed cool whip.
  15. Spread over top of the cake.
  16. Sprinkle with the other 4 chopped peanut butter cups over the icing.
  17. Chill cake before serving.
