Autumn Acorn Squash Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place squash halves in a 9- by 13-inch baking dish, cut-side up.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine maple syrup, butter, and cinnamon.
  4. Coat the cut half of the squash proportionately with the syrup mix, using all of the mix.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, basting occasionally, or possibly till squash is fork-tender and starts to brown around the edges.
  6. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  7. Comments: Cinnamon, maple syrup, and acorn squash, what a natural combination!
  8. I love the simple richness.
  9. Be careful when you check the squash for doneness and remove it from the oven because the syrup is very warm and can burn you.
