Apple Cheese Tart Recipe

  1. Peel apples.
  2. Put flour, 3 Tablespoons of the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cut butter into flour mix till it resembles fine bread crumbs.
  4. Add in egg yolks and ice water and mix till thee dough almost forms a ball.
  5. Press on the bottom and up the sides of a 10-inch tart pan.
  6. Refrigerate30 min.
  7. Pastry dough may also be prepared in a food processor.
  8. Sprinkle cheese and nuts over bottom of pastry shell.
  9. Arrange apple slices over this mix.
  10. Sprinkle with lemon peel and remaining 4 Tablespoons of sugar.
  11. Bake in preheated 400 deg.
  12. oven and bake for another 20 to 25 min.
  13. Serve hot with slices of Tillamook or possibly Cheddar cheese.
  14. Serves 6.
