Cabbage Soup for the Financially Impaired

• 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
• 12 medium head of cabbage, coarsely chopped
• 12 cup barley
• 3 beef bouillon cubes
• 12 cup catsup
• 3 -4 cups water (enough to cover the cabbage and make broth)

1. Throw it all in a pot, bring to a boil and cook about 30 minutes.
