Grandma's Dixie Panfried Fish

  1. Combine cornmeal, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour onto a plate.
  2. Rinse fish well and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Dip fish in milk, then coat with cornmeal mix.
  4. Heat crisco over medium high heat in a large skillet.
  5. Add fish to pan.
  6. Fry until golden brown and flesh white.
