Apple Crumb Squares Recipe

• 2 c. Oats Uncooked
• 1 1/2 c. All-Purpose Flour
• 3/4 c. Margarine, Melted
• 1 c. brown sugar Frimly Packed
• 1 tsp Cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp Salt (optional)
• 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/4 tsp Grnd Nutmeg
• 1 c. Appleaice
• 1/2 c. Minced Nuts

1. Heat oven to 375* F. Grease 13x9-inch baking pan.
2. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT applesauce and nuts; mix till crumbly.
3. Reserve 1 c. mix.
4. Pressremaining mix onto bottom of prepared pan.
5. Bake 15 min; cold.
6. Spreadapplesauce over partially baked crust; sprinkle with nuts.
7. Top with resevered 1 c. oat mix.
8. Bake 13 to 15 min or possibly till golden.
9. Cold in pan on wire rack; cut into 2-inch squares
