Dick's Barbecued Baked Beans Recipe
- 2 (16 ounce.) cans pork and beans, liquid removed
- 3/4 c. barbecue sauce (I prefer K. C. Masterpiece)
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tart apple, peeled, cored and minced
- 1/2 sm. onion, minced
- 2 tbsp. golden brown raisins
- 3 strips bacon, halved (ham strips can be substituted)
- In a 1 1/2 qt casserole, combine the liquid removed pork and beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple, onion and raisins.
- Arrange the strips of bacon or possibly ham over the top of the mix in the casserole.
- Bake the bean mix in the casserole, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 min or possibly till the casserole is bubbly.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
