Cajun Crab and Asparagus Pie

  2. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
  3. Add the flour and stir constantly for 2 minutes to create a roux.
  4. Lower the heat to medium, add the garlic, cayenne, ancho chile, nutmeg, cracked pepper, and paprika and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually stir in the cream, whisking constantly until the mixture is thickened, about 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan and remove from the heat.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
