Bacon, Goat Cheese and Pineapple Turkey Burgers
- 1 pound Ground Turkey 85-15
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ancho Chile Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil, For Grill Grates
- 4 slices Pineapple (your Preferred Thickness For Topping A Burger)
- 1/2 cups Crumbled Goat Cheese
- 8 slices Bacon (cooked)
- 4 Hamburger Buns
- Place turkey in a bowl and add, salt, pepper, cumin, chile powder and Old Bay seasoning.
- Mix gently, but thoroughly with your hands to ensure spices are evenly distributed.
- Form turkey into four 4-ounce patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Set them aside on a plate.
- Whisk together soy sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl until sugar dissolves.
- Set aside.
- Preheat grill to high.
- Dip a paper towel in the vegetable oil, hold the towel in some tongs and rub the oil over the grill grill grates.
- Add burgers and pineapple slices to the hot grill.
- Brush both with the soy sauce and brown sugar mixture.
- Grill both for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Then carefully flip them.
- After flipping and grilling for 2-3 minutes on the second side, top burgers with goat cheese, pineapple and bacon.
- Grill for another minute until cheese starts to melt.
- When done remove them from the grill to a clean plate.
- Meanwhile, wrap buns in slightly damp paper towels and microwave for 15 seconds to steam them.
- Place burgers on buns and serve immediately.
