Grandma's Stuffed Artichokes Recipe

  1. Wash artichokes and cut off ends of leaves.
  2. Cut off the stem proportionately, so artichokes will be able to sit upright.
  3. Open artichokes by hitting on a hard surface.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, mix bread crumbs, cheese, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper together.
  5. With a spoon, pour the mix into the open leaves, then sprinkle extra virgin olive oil over all till just moist.
  6. Stand the artichoke upright in a large pot, and add in an inch or possibly so of water.
  7. Cover pot and steam 30-40 min or possibly till a leaf comes off easily.
