Steamed broccoli and terryaki chicken
- 1 chicken breasts (I used triple packs boneless, skinless)
- 1 tbsp garlic minced
- 1/3 cup Kikkoman terriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp vegetable or olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Add olive oil and heat till nice and hot.
- Meanwhile cut chicken into cubes and add to pan.
- Wait til the chicken starta to turn brownish, and add lemon juice, kikkoman sauce and minced garlic.
- Toss chicken so it gets well coated.
- Heat to boiling on medium to high heat, as soon as boiling, let simmer for about 8-10 minutes.
- Toss chicken once more ensuring chicken gets well coated.
- If sauce is too thin, add a teaspoon of cornstarch.
- Toss one last timr and check to see if chicken is cooked thoroughly.
- Meanwhile, fill steam pot and add broccoli.
- This should take about 5 minutes depending on how much broccoli you use :) i usually leave the green stems on and toss the middle part.
- Make sure chicken is completely cooked, tossing a second time.
- Add half a cup of water if sauce is too salty.
