Nankhatai (Snowballs)

  1. Cream the ghee well and add castor sugar little by little.
  2. Add the salt and cream till the mixture looks thick and foamy.
  3. Stir in the flour and the semolina gradually and cream with hand.
  4. Keep the dough covered with a damp napkin for about 2 to 3 hrs.
  5. Make tiny balls of the dough and place a small bit of the cherry or nut on top.
  6. Grease and dust the baking tray.
  7. Place the balls at well spaced intervals.
  8. Bake at 180C for 10 to 12 mins.
