Blanka's Pork Patties Recipe

  1. Cut cabbage into wedges; remove core.
  2. Cook in small amount salted boiling water till tender; drain well.
  3. Finely chop cabbage or possibly process in food processor using chopping blade.
  4. Transfer to medium bowl.
  5. Finely chop Spam, onion, and garlic or possibly process in food processor.
  6. Mix into cabbage with 1 egg, 1/4 c. bread crumbs, and pepper.
  7. Shape mix into 8 balls; flatten to make patties about 1/2-inch thick.
  8. Beat remaining egg with water.
  9. Dip patties first in egg-water mix, then in remaining bread crumbs to coat both sides.
  10. Saute/fry in 1/4-inch oil over medium heat till bronwed on both sides.
  11. This recipe yields 8 patties.
  12. Yield: 8 patties
