Orange Spice Peaches

• 30 ounces peaches, canned
• 1 teaspoon whole cloves
• 6 inches cinnamon sticks
• 10 whole allspice
• 13 cup vinegar
• 12 cup sugar
• 1 orange, sliced

1. Drain peaches reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
2. Put spices in cheesecloth and tie shut.
3. in sauce pan, combine reserved peach syrup, vinegar, sugar, orange slices, peaches and spice bag.
4. heat to boiling.
5. simmer uncovered about 5 minutes.
6. remove spice bag.
7. serve peach halves over sliced oranges.
