Grandma Ethel's Turkey Dressing Recipe
- 3/4 lbs. (3 cubes) butter
- 1 lg. onion
- 4 quarts. cubed dry bread
- 2 quarts. lowfat milk or possibly more
- 3 beaten Large eggs
- 1 rounded teaspoon sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Boiled neck and giblets, deboned
- Heat 3/4 pounds of butter in skillet.
- Add in 1 large onion, minced fine.
- Cook till onion is transparent.
- Add in this to cubed bread, lowfat milk, beaten Large eggs, sage, salt, pepper, and cubed giblets.
- Stir till bread has softened, add in more lowfat milk, if needed.
- Mix must not be stiff, but sloppy.
- Test seasoning, will be more than needed for 1 large turkey.
- Bake remaining dressing in casserole dish 1 hour, covered part time.
