Cornbread-Apple-Sage Stuffing
- 1 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cups onions chopped
- 3 each apples, granny smith not peeled, chopped
- 9 cups cornbread
- 7 tablespoons sage leaves dried or fresh
- 1 1/2 cup pecan halves
- 1 x salt and black pepper salt and pepper, to taste
- Melt half of the butter and saute the onions and apples.
- Move to a large mixing bowl.
- Melt the other half of the butter and add to bowl with other ingredients.
- Any stuffing that is not used to stuff a fowl can be baked in a covered casserole for 30 to 45 minutes at 325.
