Bean And Sausage Chowder Recipe
- 1 (at least 16 ounce.) can pinto beans
- 1/2 pound sausage
- 1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1 sm. onion, minced
- 1/2 c. potatoes, diced
- 1/4 c. green pepper, minced
- 2 c. water
- 1 bay leaf (opt.)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Brown sausage; add in other ingredients.
- Simmer about 1 1/2 hrs.
- Can be made with pot of fresh cooked pinto beans and increased amounts of ingredients to suit taste.
