Hawaiian Teriyaki

  1. Combine sugar and boiling water; cook and stir until sugar dissolves, creating a sugar-and-water syrup.
  2. You should have approximately 1/4 cup syrup.
  3. Cut sirloin in 1-1/2-inch cubes.
  4. Marinate about 10 minutes in sauce made by combining sugar-and-water syrup with remaining ingredients.
  5. Thread on skewers.
  6. Broil or grill about 7 minutes or until desired doneness.
  7. Turn and brush frequently with sauce.
  8. Heat remaining sauce and pass with beef.
