Date and Ginger Cream Pots
- 250g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup cream
- 2 tablespoon icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 8 fresh dates, pitted, chopped
- 1 tablespoon finely diced glace ginger
- 2 teaspoons grated orange rind Safeway 1 lb For $0.79 thru 02/09
- Garnish
- icing sugar
- shortbread biscuits to serve
- Beat together Philly*, cream, icing sugar, lemon juice and flour.
- Fold in the dates, ginger and orange rind.
- Spoon into small (approx 50mls capacity) lightly buttered oven proof dishes.
- Bake 15 minutes or until just firm and lightly golden, in a 180 C (fan forced) oven.
- Dust heavily with icing sugar, serve warm or at room temperature with crisp, buttery biscuits, and a dollop of cream.
