Gorgonzola & Black Mission Fig Cups
- 34 cup gorgonzola, softened
- 2 fresh black mission figs
- 2 tablespoons whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon port wine
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 24 slices baguette, toasted
- Whip Gorgonzola cheese with cream until smooth.
- Set aside.
- Cut each fig into 12 wedges.
- Place in a shallow dish and add port and maple syrup.
- Stir to coat, then let stand for 10 minutes.
- Cover and refrigerate cheese and figs separately for up to 24 hours.
- Let stand for 30 minutes before continuing.
- Spoon or pipe 1 tsp cheese mixture into croustade cups, and top with fig wedge.
